Sammy Musili

SERVING SINCE 2010- ADMINISTRATOR

Sammy was introduced to 4:12 Youth Ministry while studying at the Kenya Baptist Theological College. Sammy was a quiet student, but was very organized and committed to preaching the gospel. Behind that quiet student was a gifted teacher and administrator! Sammy has been an invaluable asset to our ministry.

Simeon Mitei

SERVING SINCE 2010- TEACHER

Simeon was introduced to 4:12 Youth Ministry while teaching a youth ministry course at the Kenya Baptist Theological College. Simeon's mother was the first Christian in their village. As a young boy, Simeon became one of the first believers there. While at the Bible college, he asked the director of 4:12 Youth Ministry to teach something on youth ministry to the pastors and church leaders in his village. Simeon was instrumental in helping present the material in culturally appropriate ways. This became the "genesis" of our conferences. Since then, Simeon has planned more conferences than anyone else in the ministry!

Zephaniah Muriuki

SERVING SINCE 2010- TEACHER & TRAINING FOLLOW-UP

Zephaniah was introduced to 4:12 Youth Ministry while studying youth ministry course at the Kenya Baptist Theological College. Zephaniah was the first youth pastor for his entire denomination in Kenya. He invited the 4:12 Youth Ministry Director to preach at his church's youth camp and the director was able to see Zephaniah's leadership skills. They've been teaching together ever since.

Evans Ngare

SERVING SINCE 2012- TEACHER

Evans was the first Christian in his family. He grew up in a very strict Catholic home, but had never heard the gospel. He heard it for the first time while studying at the Kenya Baptist Theological College. He received Christ in class, and his fellow student Simeon (see above) was instrumental in discipling him. As our ministry grew and there was an increased demand for conferences, we knew we needed more teachers to help carry the load. Evans helped out at one of the conferences, and he did such a good job that we made sure he continued!

Nicholas Murungi

SERVING SINCE 2012- TEACHER

Nicholas planted a church in his hometown with just over 100 people. He has also participated in many short-term mission trips to unreached people groups in Kenya and led many of them to Christ. Zephaniah met Nicholas while teaching a conference in his area. Afterwards, Nicholas was very zealous about asking Zephaniah to plan more conferences. After seeing Nicholas's passion, we invited him to partner with us as a teacher.

Nathan Micheni

SERVING SINCE 2012- TEACHER

Nathan is a pastor's kid. His father worked with pioneer missionaries to plant many churches in Kenya. Sammy invited Nathan to come to a training event in Meru, Kenya. Nathan's excitement about the material made him stand-out among the attendees. He is a very passionate and committed teacher.

Kubamba Krew

In the year 2000, DJ Moz & his colleague Njugush became the first Christian DJ's to spin Christian records on a popular secular radio station in Nairobi, Kenya as they faithfully preached the gospel on air. The radio show was called "Kubamba", which means "cool" or "hype" in a local language (sheng) in Kenya. Eventually they named the entire ministry Kubamba. DJ Moz & Njugush eventually began being asked to spin Christian records at live events, where they made sure the gospel was preached. They added dance crews and Christian artists at these events, and youth loved them. They began going into high schools and universities to do these events. They currently have their own radio station and for 10 years had their own live TV show. They have led tens of thousands of youth to Christ. They are true evangelists. Our partnership with them is the result of our Kuza app. They promote it for us and in turn, they use it to help disciple youth who receive Christ at their events. We both have "say so" into what the content is on the app, and our partnership continues to grow stronger.

Sowing seeds of Joy

James and Chao Wanje have worked as missionaries in their nation, Kenya, for more than 10 years. After attending college, getting married and having their two boys (Morris and Francis) in the USA, they answered the call to return to their nation, Kenya, to carry on the family legacy of mission work with their own people.

The Wanjes are now investing their passion on the Coastal region of Kenya. This is the area where James’ father, the late Reverend Morris Wanje, invested more than 50 years in evangelism and discipleship of the natives. Reverend Morris Wanje was the first Baptist convert in the East African region. Before he went to be with the Lord in February 2014, Reverend Morris Wanje had started more than 67 churches, many of which are in the Coastal region of Kenya.

The Wanjes are passionate about carrying the legacy of Reverend Morris Wanje in the transformation of communities through the local church. Through Sowing Seeds of Joy Kenya, they carry out their passion by focusing on five pillars: Marriage and Family Outreach; Pastoral and Church Leadership Development; Evangelism and Church Planting; Training and Discipleship; Humanitarian Outreach that include Water for Life and Seeds Creation.

James and Chao are very passionate together with their teaching team on the coast of Kenya to help 4:12 youth ministry acheive our goals of equipping churches to reach youth in the coastal region.

Global Youth Ministry

4:12 Youth Ministry is partnered with Global Youth Ministry out of Chatsworth, Georgia. Matt, the 4:12 director, was saved at a Global Youth Camp when he was thirteen years old. He served as a camp intern his sophomore, junior, and senior year while at Florida State University. During his 4th year, the director of Global invited Matt to serve as missionary with them in Kenya. Matt & Kelly (Matt's wife) both felt called to go to Kenya and served as missionaries with Global from 2008-2018. After lots of prayer, fasting, and meeting with wise counselors, Matt & Kelly felt God leading them to join African Christian Outreach and remain in a partnership with Global Youth Ministry. Matt & Kelly love Global's mission and vision and are excited about the partnership moving forward.
